Come take a peek at our guest star forum. Here you will find bios on many of our Bonanza guest stars. We offer guest star pictures of the day and regular guest star discussions.
Hey, ya'll, and welcome to this week's Guest Star Picture of the Day! I thought it would be nice to honour the guest stars who enlisted during World War II; not only were they gifted actors, but they also believed in making the world a better and safer place. Some of them fought and were injured while others didn't see battle, but helped with the war effort in different ways. [where's a saluting smiley when you need one?]
Anyway, without any further ado...
Day One: Claude Akins

We all know him as Sam Hill, Marshal Emmett Dowd, Colonel J. Dunwoody, or the creepy hired hand, Ezekiel from the episode, The Mill, but Claude Marion Akins (May 25th, 1926 - January 27th, 1994) loved his country so much that he joined the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII. He was stationed in Burma and the Philippines.
