Hello. My name is Marla and I am new to the Bonanza Boomers forums. I have a long history of writing fan fiction, starting with publishing Blake's 7 and Star Wars stories in fanzines, and moving on through online work based on the Young Rebels (a list I moderate) and the old Daniel Boone TV show. Recently I rediscovered my love of Bonanza (well, mostly my love of Little Joe to be honest!), and the writing bug bit and I am working on a Bonanza piece. I am two chapters in at the moment and while I feel fairly competent with the dialogue and interaction of the characters, I am less confident about my understanding of the layout of the land, Nevada in general, and things like exact ages and eye color (the color of Adam's eyes for one thing seems to change from episode to episode!). I have done internet searches, but not found any 'bibles' on these things. Anyhow, before I jumped in here I wanted to say 'hello' and see if there were any specifics to how to post, how often, how much, etc. If there is a FAQ if someone could point me to it I would appreciate it.

My tale has the working title of 'Gully Washer' at the moment and is Joe-centered, though all of the Cartwrights are in it. It is set in one of the early season, though I have not pinned down which season yet as, so far, all of the action has taken place outside the house and in the wild.
