Joe is the target of a bully and may need his brothers' help.... or does he?

It's October, 1846 and a letter arrives that angers Adam and compels Ben to leave his ranch to convince a woman from his past - and her entire wagon train - not to continue their journey into the Sierra Mountains.  

Set in season 7 - Ben is faced with the possibility that Adam has returned to Nevada without telling his family.  

Inspired by a prompt from the April 2019 Ponderosa prospects challenge and because Pernell suggested having Adam fall in love with a Native American woman. 

Note: According to the website legendsofamerica.com, the term "Left-Handed Wife" means mistress.  

Ben is forced to live through one of his worst nightmares.  

Young Adam has a problem with love but Hoss sure doesn't.  Will a bout with a serious illness change that or make Adam all the more hesitant and restrained?
