When Joe leaves the Ponderosa to discover the world that was opening up in new territories he little realised that he would find the love of his life, nearly getting killed and bringing Hoss from the Ponderosa and Adam away from the sea in search of him.

This story was really the beginning of my Captain Cartwright series, but I remember with fondness, the hours spent in researching and writing this particular one. I never thought that all these years later I would still be writing about him, his family, his extended family. Thank you again for letting me know you enjoyed it so much.
Joe becomes concerned that his brother may be something other than human after reading a book about the behaviorisms of non-human beings. When Adam gets wind of Joe's beliefs, he decides to have a little fun with younger brother.

Ben needs to get a dog for the Ponderosa - but which of these three should he take home with him? One of my first fics ever, written long ago.

Adam has overcome the ordeal that nearly broke him and now sets out to find the woman he loves - and then try to set things straight with his father. A flock of sheep gets in the way and sparks off a bitter power struggle between father and son. Adam won't give in anymore, and Ben cannot accept that his son isn't a boy any longer. And in the background, Adam's unknown foe is pulling some strings of his own.

Nobody will notice that english is not your native tongue, or at least not me, because it's not mine either.
You managed to combine love, understanding, hate, violence and much more into one great story. The explanation why Adam is no longer on the Pondersoa is a plausible and a beautifule one. Finally he manages to free himself from the influence of his father and to live his own life. Something i had always hoped that it would happen and which, as far as i know, Pernell R. also wanted, but the scriptwriters did not realize.
The characters are really well met. i find Ben really unsympathetic, like the way he came across to me in the first few episodes, before they changed his appearance. Nice that he becomes more personable in the end of the story.
Litte Joe, who has to listen to his father, but at the same time has his own head and is loyal to his brother.
Hoss - his monologue when adam is sick in bed and has separated from Lil, is wonderful and unique.
I can really grind the whole story in fornt of my inner eye.

What hard working rancher wouldn't take advantage of a day off? Adam does just that, and his relaxing day brings mystery and danger to the Ponderosa.
Riding with a posse in the middle of a storm, Joe is injured in an accident. Adam, with Sheriff Coffee's help, rescues Joe who has already made a startling discovery. Adam, takes Joe along to safety to await the doctor's arrival at a nearby way station, but this puts the brothers smack bang in the middle of a murder. Can Adam solve the whodunit and identify which of several stranded stagecoach passengers, all of them potential suspects, is the actual killer? Also what does Joe's earlier discovery and a fifteen year old robbery have to do with the murder?
A very well written crime thriller, that includes the wonderfully described Bonanza-characters of Joe and Adam Cartwright.
Little Joe goes out riding on a late winter's day... without the proper coat. He gets lost in the woods when a blizzard comes up.
Adam and Hoss head out to look for Joe. They find him and bring him home. But Adam becomes seriously ill the next day.
Will he survive?

In this story Adam is sent to Alaska to retrieve some papers relative to the sale of the country from Russia. However, on the Ponderosa Little Joe is seriously injured and faces a bleak future, although little Peggy Dayton Cartwright is there to cheer him up as best she can....

I know of no better way to honor Lorne Greene, the man, than to show him as the remarkable man we know and love – Ben Cartwright. A stand-off at the bank reveals what's truly important.
As a note regarding my prequels, I love Roy Coffee and so, in my Bonanza world, Roy was an acting 'lawman' from a very early date in the settlement. Nothing official, of course, but acting on the town council's behalf to uphold the law along with other men. Later, after a stint as deputy, he became sheriff.
