I'm afraid I've become quite addicted to your stories, Adamant.
This one is wonderful. I must admit, I like stories where a man and a woman who are not in love at first (or even don't like each other - which of course is not the case here) eventually fall in love.
At first I thought that Mimi wasn't right for Adam (I couldn't imagine Adam falling in love with a dancing girl!), but in the end I liked her very much. She seems to be the perfect match for Adam.
I also liked your description of Adam as a father: loving, devoted, yet slightly overextended. And Betsy, of course, is wonderful.Author's Response:
I'm flattered that you like what I write, Sabina. I particularly like this story and I hated to knock off Lucy, but--I'm not good at sequels. I'm also pleased that you liked Betsy so much. I tried NOT to make her the type of child most FF writers portray, clever and a spoiled brat--just a normal little girl. And as much as Adam loved children, being a father is totally soemthing else.
Thank you for reading.
