Heart-wrenching on several levels but very true to the Cartwright story.
I do enjoy writing in the first person singular and this story gave me the opportunity to see Joe through the eyes of a child, and then a young woman.... some readers thought it a bit 'Goth' but I enjoyed writing it.

I love having a Joe romance but this time the romantic feelings weren't returned. This keeps pretty well with the way The Cartwright family has been portryed on the show-never to marry. How sad for Dorcas to make the decision to leave. Wonderful story.
