What a touching story of a boy and his beloved dog. I really enjoyed it.
Such a nice gentle story brought a lump to my throat
That was a beautiful story. I got a lump in my throat at the end. You could just feel the pain that Adam was in and even Ben.
As always, thank you for reading and reviewing my stories, mo. I'm glad you like the story.
Lovely little story. I know Hoss is the brother with the animal skills, but I always thought that Adam would bond beautifully with a dog. Thanks for giving him one that was deserving of him. RIP Big Red.
My, that is such a sweet thing to say, Christy. Thank you.
great story I enjoyed reading it
Thanks a lot for letting me know, Pam.
Thanks, Gillie. Dog stories do tend to pull at the heartstrings, don't they?
What a wonderful and sad story. Thank you for sharing.
Betty, thank you so much for reading it, and for reviewing.
Auh, sad and sweet both, thanks!
Thank you for reading, Bertha. It was kind of sad.
The dialect reflected Hoss and the way he spoke. Put me in mind of Old Yeller and it was good to see Ben's love for Adam reflected this way; he showed he understood his son.
Thanks, Adamant. I appreciate very much your opinion, and glad I got Hoss and Ben good here.
Thanks for reading, Bahj. I agree, dog stories don't always go a certain way.
