This is one of my favorite paragraphs in the story: Even though he couldn’t see me, I rolled my eyes. It was a new habit I had developed recently. Hoss had told me that it wasn’t very good for my health. I wasn’t sure exactly what he meant by that until I did it one day while Pa was giving me a lecture on keeping my boots clean. Needless to say, it’s a habit that I have been trying very hard to break ever since.

The story stands alone, but I recommend reading part one, and I'm sure you'll be eager to follow it up with this second part of Little Joe's adventure and his take on the world and people around him.
