This was an amazing story

I really enjoyed reading it

Very heartwarming and emotional

The  story that Adam told Joe about Marie made me tear up

The comparison between The Three Musketeers and Adam,Hoss, and was  great

Glad that Adam convince Ben not to give Joe his usual punishment for the saying what he said  to him.

Joe got a chance to help save Adam ,after Adam got caught in a old bear trap, and Joe raise to the  occasion well

The name Joe gave the horse Adam gave him "A'rtagnan" was great and fitting

An emotional story that shows how it can be when siblings no longer get along well due to various circumstances, as is the case here with Adam and Joe due to many years of physical separation, and rhey first have to get to know each other again.

As if taken from real life, so is the story Adam Joe tells. Very wise of Adam to tell a true family story in such a way that it almost sounds like a fairy tale. Nice to read that Adam manages - also with the help of Hoss - to convince Joe that he loves him.

The camping trip has helped restore their understanding of each other, and it also gives Joe a chance to show his affection for Adam when he gets hurt and steps into a bear trap.

I also like the idea with the 3 musketeers and the true saying "One for all, all for one" and that Joe names his horse that he receives for his birthday from Adam "D'Artagnan".

Well written!

This is a nice story about family relationships.  Adam was really a treasure to Joe even though he didn't realize it at the time.  Adam was another eye-witness to Marie Cartwright's life and legacy.

My favorite part was when Adam told Joe a long story about his mother. This really touched Joe's heart and mine.

Well done!

Thank you for your kind comments. Since he was only 5 when his mother died, many of Joe's memories of her had to come from Adam. I think Joe enjoyed hearing Adam tell him about his relationship with Marie and how it developed.

That's a nice heart-warming brothers story.  A nice show of the love and care between them.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading my story & for your kind comments. I always thought that after Adam had been away for 4 years, he & Joe would need to find a way of reconnecting.

What a darling story with so many heartwarming parts to it - Hoss sticking up for Adam, Adam so concerned about Joe knowing he loved him, the story he told while they were camping.  Just so dang adorable.  And to top it off - working in the Musketeers (which is an excellent comparison, btw!!) added even more enjoyement.  A fun, sweet, story I'm sure Mike would have loved.

And Bossy Boots is quite the nickname, lol.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind comments. I always thought of the Cartwright brothers as the Three Musketeers. They teased each other and sometimes fought, but they were always there for each other. I thought Bossy Boots was a good nickname for an older sibling who was always bossing the younger one around.
