You did a nice job with this. If it had been 100 pages longer, it could have made one hellova book. Keep writing and I will keep reading.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review. And just between the two of us, it's difficult enough garnering readers for a story of this length not to even mention over 100 pages! Glad you liked the story and let me know. : )

To start a story in the midst of a man's hopelessness and grab a reader's  aor I should say readers') attention takes finesse and skill.  I couldn't put this one down and I felt it all... the grief, the resignation, the duty, the relief. You put Adam through hell  and you did it with such careful gritty realism...   he was more than a character in this, he was a real man.  I even grew to love  Kat.

Your writing is superB.

This was a well spent evening. Thank you.

PS I apologize for the typos. There is something wrong with the spell check on my phone...  it is correcting words that don't need to be corrected.

Author's Response:

First, I don't think it's your phone -- I find I always have typos when typing in here. One has to type slowly and deliberately. Your phone program only tried to make sense of things. : )

Second, your review did my heart good; I'm more than merely pleased the story didn't bore you as that is the death knoll in my opinion. I try to make the Cartwrights actual people. That way, I feel the stories are not just a homage to the characters but the actors as well; they live on.

Thank you for the review -- I know people must read many stories and not leave reviews so it's always a joy when someone does.

Just finished reading this, It took me a few days,  as RL became an issue. Adam went through a lot and as always, like a Cartwright, he does the right thing. Loved how he talked to Kat and "knew" she was there.  I know, deep down, Adam has the faith!! Great story, ant!!

Author's Response:

Thank you for finding this. It sat w/o any reads or reviews for a few days and I almost deleted it but didn't. I wanted to show that Adam coud be driven to kill if the conditins were right. I took a chance and apreciate your review and comments. So glad you liked it. Thanks.

Title: Faith Reviewer: Sierra Girl Signed

I've just read this, Adamant, and I thought it was absolutely brilliant. Adam is really put through the wringer with such a test of his faith in himself, his humanity and his morals. I liked the flashbacks to his childhood and the beautifully written account of his life with Kat. Plus all the little details of what he's seeing and thinking about. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

Author's Response:

How wonderful you've made me fee, Sierra Girl! I'm so glad that you think so highly of this story and thank you for your generous review. I also felt that the flashbacks were necessary for the reader to understand the relationship between Adam and Solly as they had a long-standing friendship. I'm glad you found them helpful and also found the scenes with Kat beautiful. Thank you again.

I think anyone can be driven to do something they wouldn't normally do... This was the case for Adam. Excellent story, thanks

Author's Response:

Thanks for accepting the premise that Adam, as everyone else can, could be driven to extremes. I'm glad you liked the story. Thaks for reading.

Title: Faith Reviewer: Tracy Signed

Adam's grief sends him into a tale that tests his loyalties as well as his beliefs.

I wasn't sure Adam could - or would - get out of this one with his life or his sanity. He'll never be the same, but he's the man he always was. Does that make sense?

Thank you for a moving story that kept me wondering and worried from start to finish.

Author's Response:

I thank you, Tracy, for such a nice review. The story was intended to be an exploration of how someone carries on after a devastating event--in this case, tree events; I just did so with Adam. Thank you for reading.

A good story, Adamant. I waited until you finished it to read it, and I'm glad I did - the suspense would have been almost too much.

Author's Response:

Thnk you for leaving a review--I was going to delete it. Thank you also  for taking the time to read and saying you thought it was good.
