Enjoy the banter. Even without the end, you could imagine who the stranger was just by the way he spoke. Welcome back indeed!
Had me guessing from beginning to end, I was thrown off by the eight years gone. Wonderful western story with enough descriptive detail to put me right there (at a safe distance) as an observer. Sam's pont of view was perfect. Thank you for writing.
Wow! Intense story! I thought I knew who that stranger was the moment he first appeared, and I was right. That is so him ~ cool and calm and very wise and always noticing all of the details.
I enjoy stories like I enjoy songs - simple and short but tight and power-packed with words and notes that mean something and aren't just filler. This does just that. It's a great story loaded with action .
I can't say it didn't sting to see Adam graying and limping but I could picture him perfectly. You portrayed a tougher and more mature Adam so believably - i just wish we could have seen him come home on the show. I love his lesson - you wrote the fight scene so well I could see each overturned table and whack to the noggin.
The Jessups were quite the characters. They got schooled, didn't they? And it was nice to see Sam get a starring role and have a story told from his point of view.. I love how he got his courage back. Adam is a good inspiration.
The whole thing was very well- done and I recommend this to anyone looking for a fun quick ride!i
This story has haunted me, it is so beautifully and succinctly written as the revelations add layer upon layer. All the dash, courage, and integrity of Adam's youth have matured to solid surety. Thank you for the pleasure.
Ooooh.... I wasn't prepared for what this story was truly about.
Being an Adam girl, I'm always interested in Adam centric stories, but I enjoy a variety of fan fic. Your summary hinted that Adam was likely to correct a few bad attitudes in this story, and that's always interesting in my book.
I gasped at the significance of Adam's cane. This is something of a futuristic 'view', and not the younger, possibly more strapping Adam Cartwright we are used to. This was an entirely different take on Adam as a man. I was a little sad, but I enjoyed Adam's explanation nonetheless.
Thank you so much for another possibility to the book that would be Adam's story.
I really like this story of Adam's return. I'm glad you finished it and posted it.
Great story! I really enjoyed it. I knew who the man was going to be from the minute he appeared in the story!
Thank you, CowgirlAtHeart! I'm so glad you enjoyed it; I had a blast writing it. ;)
Cute, I really liked it. Thanks for sharing.
Aww, thanks, nancy! You're welcome!
Adam doesn't let His "problem" slow Him down does He. Would be nice to know how He dealt with it initially and after this story. Enjoyed it very much! Thanks!
No he doesn't. Hmmm...Thanks for the story idea! :D I'm so glad that you enjoyed it!
Very wonderful story! I really enjoyed reading it, and I am glad that Adam is home! :)
Thank you, Adam and Joseph! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this little story; it is great to have the man in black home again!
Wonderful story and so in character for the MIB. Sad for the three who had to learn their lessons that way instead of from their parents, but Sam was right: the town is a better place when Adam is in it.
Thanks, BettyHT! Yes, they should have known better than to pick a fight with a complete stranger--or anyone else for that matter. I'm glad you agree with Sam, I know I do!
