While Ben, Adam and Hoss are busy with the branding, Hop Sing and Little, Little Joe head to town and find they have important business waiting for them.
Sequel to “Beginnings – East Meets West” and “The Journey.” Adam and Kate’s life together continues.
Experiencing unsettling emotions, as well as witnessing things that appear unbelievable, even to his own eyes, Adam has to overcome his fears, in order to keep Little Joe from danger.

Father's Day rolls around, and Hoss brings home a unique gift for Ben. The only problem is, it's annoying, insulting, and likes to sit on people's heads.
Written for June Penning from Prompts 2016. The prompt involved a Father's Day present, a thunder/rain storm, and a burnt roast. This is the alternate, longer version that stemmed from it.
A new school teacher comes to town and Adam and Hoss fear their little brother is growing too attached to her. Little do they know that the real danger is to their father. Will Ben's heart break if he dares to love again, and what secrets does this mysterious woman hold?
Little Joe is nervous about his upcoming first day of school and doesn't want to go, so Sheriff Coffee steps in to help.

Although there have been many stories of Adam living with Indians, I have tried to make certain I have not duplicated any plots. This is an attempt at reinvention of canon, of having Adam taken by Indians as a young boy and later, as an adult, when meeting up again with his father, unable to determine what his action will be--revelation or first revenge on the man who abandoned him. An argument between brothers sets off a series of events that turns into an unstoppable torrent of trouble which leaves one of Ben Cartwright's sons with a terrible task to perform, and another near death, trapped in the Belly of the Whale.
An unexpected piece of Adam's past catches up with him prior to the Cartwrights' annual autumn roundup. When Joe is targeted for revenge in a love triangle gone wrong, Adam finds himself unavoidably confronted with the dark side of witchcraft.

Summary: A WHB or prequel to 'Between Heaven and Earth.' Have you ever wondered what happened when Little Joe climbed Eagle's Nest as a five year old boy that could have been so traumatic it resulted, not just in a fear of falling, but in total amnesia that lasted for nearly 20 years? This is my take on what happened when Ben Cartwright was told to 'Bring Marie'.
A conglomeration of strange, inexplicable, incredulous occurrences happening within seven days all involving the Cartwrights puts the family under suspicion. But, suspicion of what? Can Roy Coffee make head or tail of what is going on?
Hop Sing takes to spirits, is he the only person who knows what's afoot?!
