Oh and in Navajo, Shush means Bear.
In the tradition of Ponderosa Birdman and Ponderosa Matador comes Ponderosa Werewolf. This story follows My Brother's Keeper and has all four Cartwrights involved in finding a gruesome killer, or are they searching for a wolf?

Adam comes home for Thanksgiving from college.
Twenty-two year old Hoss is caught in a snowstorm on a mountain trail. Fortune is with him when he finds a cabin owned by two young men. They recognize Hoss's last name and share a story of the two families crossing the Great Plains together. Their parents parted ways many years ago. Now the next generation renews the friendship.
Christmas on the Ponderosa is, more or less, always the same. Yet this year, there's a certain moment of unpredictability: there's a visitor staying over the holidays who could jeopardise it all...or make it extra special. And maybe she even knows a better present for Adam than yet another book.... #9 in the series.

Written for Ponderosa Nightmares IV. Little Joe finds himself haunted by a whistling figure that he believes is the ghost of a man he killed in self-defense.
On his way home from a Christmas shopping trip in Placerville, Joe is thrown from a spooked horse and left stranded at the bottom of a deep ravine in the midst of a severe snowstorm. Part of the series begun in “Bloodlines,” and includes the addition of a non-cannon character. This story takes place the winter after "Virginia City Detour."
