Summer 1871: Adam and his family journey back to the Ponderosa. The story involves a Wedding! Babies! Tragedy (at least that’s what Hoss thinks when Bridget puts him on a diet), and Adventure! (Adam and Hoss and the Army Survey of Nevada & California through Death Valley). No need for warnings

Those types of stories are alive and well, and don't require contributions from me. Nonetheless, I have raised my right hand, and freely admit to using Joe as a conduit to Adam, my eternal and true intended target. Cheesy grin...

Written for A Winter's Tale challenge. It's the dead of winter and Ben collapses. Adam is out training his dog, Hop Sing feels helpless, Joe is too young to help so the burden falls on Hoss who feels less than up for it.
