Story written for the Ponderosa Nightmares Challenge - 2020
Little Joe is home with Hop Sing, with Joe getting ready for the Halloween dance in Virginia City. However, his preparations come to a screeching halt when an unexpected, and frightening, visitor arrives. Now the only one who can save Joe is Hop Sing, but the question is- will he get there in time?

The Cartwrights are caught up in a wild and dangerous hunt for a werewolf which is making its way across the Ponderosa. Ranch hands and Paiute friends get swept up with them in figuring out how to get rid of something nearly immortal. The werewolf goes about its business of scaring men and livestock, all the while quite sure there will be only one outcome. But it never met the Cartwrights and friends.
A new school teacher comes to town and Adam and Hoss fear their little brother is growing too attached to her. Little do they know that the real danger is to their father. Will Ben's heart break if he dares to love again, and what secrets does this mysterious woman hold?
Third story in the Round Up series. Now that all the Cartwrights are finally back at the Ponderosa things are finally starting to settle down. As Adam and Hoss are adjusting to thier lives as husbands and fathers, and Joe is thinking about settling down. Just as life seems about perfect, life takes an unexpected turn and the Cartwrights find themselves having to define the true meaning of family.

The story takes place on a spring day, April 3, 1861 to be exact. The Pony Express has existed for one year to the day. Joe Cartwright simply wants to ride to Virginia City again after the long winter and hopes that a small festival might be held there. What he experiences when he gets there is told in this story.

Lena and Charles Hoffweister have come to the Ponderosa for their annual December visit bringing tales of Germany's Wienachsten and its mystical creatures. As strange things begin to happen in the ranch house, Hoss Cartwright becomes convinced that St. Nick's man-servant, a feller he calls 'K-necked', has come to bring judgment on them all.
Summary: Adam receives a telegram from Laura that Will has disappeared. She wants his help to find him again. Little does he know that his search is going to take him out of this world.

1859 in northern Nevada is the setting for this short piece of historical fiction. Tensions were high between European/American settlers and the native people. Joseph Cartwright discovers firsthand the powderkeg known as Williams Station, a stagecoach stop on the Overland Route. He encounters a teamster and later Winnemucca himself, finding that it is not possible to escape involvement of some kind in the ensuing battle.
