A What Happened Instead story for No Less A Man. The Virginia City Town Council convinces Adam and Ben that Roy Coffee is no longer capable of doing his job. When Adam explains the situation to Roy, the sheriff swears him in as a deputy and then quits his job. It's then up to Adam to protect Virginia City from the Wagner Gang. When the gang arrives in town to rob the bank, Adam is injured. Ben, Hoss, Joe, and Roy all feel guilt for what has happened to Adam while serving Virginia City's citizens.

The ending of the pilot episode of Bonanza has always bothered me. Would Alphaeus Troy and the mine owners really have given up that easily?  What if the fight in Chinatown had ended differently and Little Joe never made that dinner date with Lotta Crabtree...?

This is a What Happened Instead version of Marie, My Love. In the episode, The First Born, Marie's son was named Clay.He had quaiities I didn't care for, so I changed the character and his name to Charles. 

Ben goes to New Orleans to sell his furs and to let Jean D'Aurigny's family and friends know about his death. He meets Marie du Val D'Aurigny and falls in love with her. Can he persuade her to marry him?

A complete rewrite/extension of "Riot!"- Season 14, Episode 5 (or Episode 419).  When Adam arrives at the Nevada State Prison for a routine inspection, he is taken hostage by desperate inmates who are ready to change the prison's abusive conditions by any means necessary, even murder.  Outside the prison walls, Joe and Candy work together to end the riot and save Adam.  While trapped, Adam meets Griff King, a young covict who enlightens Adam about the corruption found at the prison.
