Bonanza Boomers

I noticed this once and now I'm hearing it all over the place. When Ben is talking to 1 (or 2) of his sons about another, he'll say, for example, 'Are you referring to your brother Adam ?', 'I'm waiting for your brother Hoss', 'Where is your brother Joe?' It cracks me up because it seems so unnecesssary. He does it for emphasis, I guess.
