Introducing Myself

Hi, everyone
My name is Marty. I joined the site earlier this month. I came upon it accidentally while doing a web search, and it looked like it would be fun to join.
I started watching reruns of Bonanza in the 70s when a local TV station in Los Angeles started airing them in the late afternoon. My best friend at the time and I would act out scenes from various episodes. He was Little Joe and I was Hoss, partly because of my size and partly because he was always my favorite anyway. Of course, I love all the Cartwrights—except maybe Jamie. Just teasing
.
I remember in 1975, when I was 12, I asked my mom to drive us out to the Ponderosa Ranch House in Incline Village. My mom hated driving on mountain roads, so she was cursing me a good part of the way
. We got there, though, and I think I still have my souvenir tin cup buried away in a box somewhere.
I still watch episodes on You Tube every chance I get. Love the sense of family and moral lessons from the show. Most of all, I enjoy the unmatched chemistry among the four Cartwrights and the wonderful actors who played them. Looking forward to interacting with you all and sharing some good memories.
