Adam, the War, and Youngest brother.
Hi everyone! Since Monday is Memorial Day in the U.S., a day to honor the sacrifice of those who have given their lives in service to their country, I thought it would be appropriate to do something dealing with the War and its impact on the Cartwrights. There are two episodes in which the Civil War intrudes onto the Ponderosa. And in both cases it leads to conflict between Adam and his youngest brother.

First let's take a look at "A House Divided":

Monday, May 27 Image cap by Nikky Adam becomes concerned when he discovers that a stranger named Frederick Kyle was making inquiries about Joe as soon as he arrived in town. He shares his concerns with Pa.
Image cap by Nikky Kyle befriends Joe and gets himself invited to dinner at the Ponderosa. When he mentions that he is interested in meeting the men who control silver production Joe is happy to offer his help. But older brother is suspicious. debper2 :adam
