It almost happened in "Forever" 
... but we never really got to see Joe married and settled down, raising a family.
I think we all agree, Joe would have been a great father, just as Ben certainly was. But here's the question. In what ways would Joe have been similar to his own Pa - and in what ways might he have been different?
