How long do you think it would take for Hop Sing to grow that pony tail? All his life? Wonder what his hair would have looked like (had it been real) if it wasn't braided. Assuming Chinese men in that era wore their hair long. Washing it might have been a chore.

I think there was an episode in the later years, that I haven't seen yet, where there' a love interest for Hop Sing but she was white and it just couldn't be. Who saw that one? I forgot the name of it. I'll have to view it one day.

Since I've never seen the actor in any other role outside of Bonanza, he'll forever be Hop Sing to me. He's a Cartwright's housekeeper and chef and part of their family. Can you imagine the Cs without him?
