This week I'm covering a face that is familiar both away from Bonanza, as well as on Bonanza. One of those faces you see but maybe can't put a name to. It is Irene Tedrow. She appeared in 5 Episodes of Bonanza starting as Mrs. Buford, wife of the storekeeper, in The Outcast.

Irene was born August 3, 1907 in Denver Colorado. She earned a BA in drama at Carnegie Tech in Philedelphia, PA in 1929. She was a character actor in radio, on stage, TV, and the movies. She also was a founding member of San Diego's Old Globe Theater. Her acting career spanned 6 decades. On film, she worked from 1940 through 1989.
