Glenn Corbett was born Glenn Edwin Rothenburg on August 17, 1933 in El Monte, California.
Corbett served in the U. S. Navy and afterward, with the encouragement of his wife, Judy, Glenn began acting in Ventura College campus theatricals.
Under the name Glenn Robinson, he worked in the mid 1950s as a physique model for Bob Mizer's legendary Athletic Model Guild.
He came to the attention of the powers-that-be at Columbia Pictures, and was signed to his first contract. His film debut was in The Crimson Kimono in 1959.
Glenn won a supporting role in 1960's The Mountain Road with James Stewart and Harry Morgan.
In 1962, Glenn was cast as Wes Macauley in television's It's A Man's World.
Though the series didn't last, it led to Glenn's next role as DDG Lincoln Case in the TV series Route 66, replacing George Maharis when the star left the show.
Glenn appeared as ex-gunfighter Reverend Paul Watson in Bonanza's Mighty Is The Word in 1965.

In 1966, Glenn was cast in a new series as Chance Reynolds, The Road West.
1967 brought one of Glenn's most well-known guest star appearances as Zefram Cochrane in Star Trek's Metamorphosis.
Glenn was busy making major theatrical films in the 1970s. He snagged substantial supporting parts in two of John Wayne's westerns, playing good guy Pat Garrett in Chism in 1970, and one of the gang who kidnaps John Wayne's son in Big Jake, 1971.

He appeared again on Bonanza in 1971, playing Howie Landis in Winter Kill.

Throughout the '80s, Glenn stayed busy with a regular part in the cast of the long-running television series Dallas.
Over the span of his career, Glenn guest starred in close to 100 movies and television shows, including The Immortal, Medical Center, Alias Smith and Jones, Gunsmoke, Police Story, and Barnaby Jones and many more.
Glenn and Judy were married for 36 years, up until his death, and had two children He died in Texas, at the age of 59, in January, 1993 of lung cancer.
He is buried in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
