Themboys, well there is just something about "them" bonanza "boys". All there is to it.
Also since I pretty much use the same nickname on all non bonanza forums, I didn't want to get tracked back here.
This is my little secret. :cheer

What a fun thread!

My nick is pretty dull compared to a lot of the others, but it's pretty much the same thing I use anywhere I go on the internet, as as well as my yahoo email and chat name.

My name is Therese, but if I had a nickel for every person who calls me TheresA instead, I'd be rich. In fact, in my riding club, a lot of them call me "T w/no A" because I keep correcting people who call me by the wrong name. (Hey, it's my *name*, you can't blame me, can you?)

After years of dealing with being called by the wrong name, I picked the nickname thereseiam, sort of a take off on Dr. Suess' Sam I Am, but also as a reminder that my name is NOT Theresa. And for all of you Teresas and Theresas out there, hey, no offense, it's a great name, it's just not mine. :thumbup

I'm new to forums (it's been a little over a year, BW was the first one I joined last June), but not new to the various corners of the internet. I knew I had to pick a username that felt right

After toying with a couple of Adam oriented nicknames, this one sprang into my mind.

Sassy...because...uh...yeah. Pretty self explanatory.

Brass.

Picked it mostly because it rhymed. Didn't think of all the implications. Freudian slip, perhaps. :ha

I'm only participating online in Bonanza related stuff, so if you see that nickname anywhere else, such as facebook, etc, it's not me.

That's quite funny Sassy. I never realised it was because it rhymed, because it doesn't spoken with my English accent!

My first and middle names are Deborah Josephine (Josephine after my maternal grandmother), so Debbiejo is from that, but also, the "jo" part reveals who my favorite Cartwright is.

My real life nickname is Brink and one of my friends one day added a 182 to it, because Brink and Blink are only one letter difference and she just thought it would be hilarious to call me Brink182 and it just kind of stuck. As for the other questions, I'll have to get back to you on those. ^_^;

Mine is my first name. Didn't know that it was / could be something else :shrug

Can I change it to something more creative?

When I first starting posting years ago I also thought you were supposed to use your name. Since I don't really like mine, I went with my first initial and my middle name. Later on when I found out that PR's second wife was named Judith I thought "How appropriate". :yes I wondered if people thought that was why I picked it.

But considering the avatar I've used for years, I should probably be "Walter's Gal". :grin

With a name like Terina, I can relate. I get Tina, Theresa, a childhood friend called me Terquina and a high school friend (who is the defensive coordinator for the NY Giants--hey I know somebody famous) called me Purina. When I worked for a parts distributor, the parts guys called me the Ford Lady...ya know Ford Torino. I can't win.
