Joe is always part of some wild scheme or other, often dragging his brothers (especially Hoss) into it with him.

In "Ponderosa Explosion," Joe and Hoss are trying to start a rabbit-raising empire. They intend to make a lot of money selling the skins. However, a problem arises: the rabbits are so cute they can't bear to kill and skin them. Joe comes up with an idea. He's going to sell his share of the rabbits to Hoss!
