Claude Akins has a familiar face...we've seen him in several unforgettable Bonanza episodes. I still shiver when I think of Ezekiel from "The Mill," and I love the character of Sam Hill in "Sam Hill."

Claude was born in 1926 in Nelson, Georgia. A talented actor, Claude was never short of work---he acted in more than 180 TV episodes and almost 100 movies! Most of his roles were "heavies." Claude himself said: "A guy who looks like Robert Redford will most often be cast as a hero. A guy like me or Ernie Borgnine plays a lot of heavies. If you're big, they think you're tough. And if you're tough, they think you're dumb."
