Now I know, you see The Deserter and many of you might be thinking of the episode The Deserter from 1962 that had Adam and Claude Akins in it. But this week, we're going to take a look at the second episode of Bonanza with the same name, from season 10.

While Candy is out looking for strays, he hears a gun shot and finds a young Indian woman taking a knife to a cow. When he tries to stop her, she runs off but leaves her rifle behind. There's something very unusual about her rifle....
Candy follows the young woman and comes upon a line shack and a white man with the same kind of rifle, only this time he's pointing it at Candy. He's taken inside the shack and tied up by the Indian woman. Looks like Candy's in a bit of trouble again!
But dang, those eyes!
