Little Joe has gotten himself into a bit of a pickle, as his big brother Hoss would say. Now, it's not the boy's fault. Ansi said she would meet him in Carson City but she has been delayed a whole day!!
Ansi, not being able to get a message to
he has been patiently waiting, and we all know that patience is not one of Joseph Cartright's better virtues, don't we?
He very much wants to get with Ansi because he has a favour to ask of her.
But now it is too late to ride home and that will not put him in his pa's good books as Ben doesn't know where he is or what's going on.
