In 'The Scapegoat', just after Hoss finishes defending his decision to bring Waldo Watson home, Adam says something like 'Hoss has been bringing strays home ever since he was old enough to walk.' Can you conjure up how cute that must have been? A young Hoss with some outcast or animal trailing after him up to the ranch house? And Hoss asking Ben, 'can he stay Pa, can he?'
