Adam Bald/Hairpiece

Hi everyone,

This is my first post as I'm a relatively new Bonanza fan. I got interested in the show last year as I'm a huge Guy Williams fan. I think he is so handsome, as he reminds me of Errol Flynn, who I also like. Anyway, after watching Guy's episodes, I started to search for Bonanza fanfiction featuring Will, which led me to a number of Bonanza websites such as this. When I ran out of Will stories, I started to read general Bonanza stories. Because I found the characters so interesting, I thought I'd watch some real Bonanza episodes, and have since become a fan.

Although I liked no particular Cartwright at first (apart from Will), I gradually realised that Adam was my favourite. This was really strange for me, as originally, when I watched the Guy episodes, Adam was my least favourite, as I found him bland and boring. However, as I started to watch episodes from seasons 1 and 2, I discovered that Adam was actually the coolest of the Cartwrights.

Since becoming an Adam fan, I have been a regular visitor to Adam's Lean To, and have enjoyed reading all you posts and pictures. However, the other night, when I was browsing the special features on my season 4 DVDs I got a really huge shock when I saw pictures of Pernell at the recording session of the Ponderosa Party album without his hairpiece. While I knew, from reading about Bonanza on the net, that he wore a wig, I kind of wish that I hadn't seen the pictures, because now, when I see handsome pictures of him as Adam, I can't get the images out of my head. It is one thing to know about it, but another thing to actually see it. Please don't think I'm shallow or rude, but I was just wondering how other Adam fans feel. Should I just reconcile myself to the fact that Adam Cartwright isn't bald, but Pernell Roberts is? Again, I hope nobody take offence, I just wanted to share my thoughts and yours.
