CalCap by Cal
We know him best as Arnie from The Ape.
It isn’t often we come across someone who can stand up to Hoss.

Cal Bolder as Arnie in The Ape
He was born Earl Craver in Elkhart, Kansas on June 14, 1931. After attending college and doing a tour in the Marines after World War II, Earl relocated to Los Angeles and became a policeman. A chance meeting with an agent got him into acting and that’s when he changed his name to Cal Bolder. His roles were always the beefcake type as Cal was a body builder.

Cal Bolder as Igor in Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter
Known for his roles in really, really bad movies Cal is best remembered as Hank Tracy and Igor in Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966). Cal’s other roles include the films, Heller Pink Tights (1960), One Spy Too Many (1966), and One Of Our Spies Are Missing (1966).

Cal Bolder as Keel in Star Trek
Other than Bonanza, he was in Honey West, Daniel Boone, Man from U.N.C.L.E. and many others but he always played the big guy. Fans of Star Trek will remember him from the second-season episode Friday's Child, which was one of his last acting roles.

Last Reunion by E. C. Craver
In the late 1960s, Cal retired from acting and moved his family to Washington. In 2001, he published a novel, Last Reunion, under his real name E. C. Craver, and afterward wrote a sequel, which was never published. After he retired from acting, he moved to Royal City, Washington. Earl Craver passed away on January 19, 2005 from cancer at age 74.
