Of all the women his sons dated, who do you think Ben might have liked for a daughter-in-law ? He seemed to approve of them all (even including Tirza - ) but who do you think he might have imagined as particularly good for which son ? I like to think he liked Rebekah best for Adam. He seemed so tickled at Adam's behavior around her. I think her Judaism would have given him pause, not because of prejudice but out of worry over whether they could make it work. In the end, I think, Adam's feelings for her would have carried the day. Hoss' women all seemed to have big issues but I think he might have liked Emily best because she seemed to really like him for him. And Joe ? Eloise ? Kidding. I'd say Laura because she was the right age, Ben knew her father and the families had a history together going back lots of years.
