MIKES MISHAPS

As the Adamgals are doing a thread on Pernells scar, I thought it would be a good idea to do one on Mikes various mishaps, especially as we have a lot more Joegals on site. Mike was quite accident prone, and I know that filming "The Legend Of Tom Dooley" was a disaster for him. Apart from his Fathers sudden death during filming, he also suffered a string of accidents. He badly cut his face with a scout knife, whilst cutting through a rope, after one of the crew had swopped the knife, because the first one was blunt. The scar to the left of his mouth still shows up on certain photos. Several days after returning to work, someone shot him in the face with a gun firing blanks, and he also later broke his foot, although I don't have any details .
I would like to invite everyone to add to the thread, with any stories they have about Mike. Did he ever suffer any mishaps on Bonanza?
