I have watched it on this morning.. It was stunning, I was so upset listening what had been done to the Indians and the way the Captain was speaking about obediance to orders..;
Then I have seen Ben, the way he has been during the different moments...
Loyalty, honnor, importance of a promise...
And I have thought, do we have today men like that, honnest and loyal men, which we can trust...
Ok , I know, it"s fictional... They have written the lines and the script.. But I ask for myself, who we can trust in our life... I would like to be able to trust someone just listening at his words or looking in your eyes.. I would like to read honnesty goodness in eyes...
First trust is important, but who can be trusted.... We know, Adam has been betrayed for having trusted too often....
Ben has the courage of his opinion, courage of his principles of life, he condamns the soldier but don't let the rage or revenge cover him... He knows what he has to do... And I love the way he touches the colonel, which trust him too.. I love these men (Cochise and Colonel) which are loyal and honnest.. It's important in life, and I hope, we have such men around us, in all country....
I'm in love with Bens character because of these principles of life, and I'm happy, Bonanza has been showned all around the world.. It's just fiction but we all know, Lorne has put so much from himself to buy Ben, that it can't be only fiction and script... And I appreciate it... I hope, we have other Ben Cartwright in the world.... With the same sens of honor, with loyalty and appetit for peace..
I love the way he handles differents things.. He has nothing against people which take a cow for eating, but he requieres that people just ask for : allways honnesty;; being honnest is so important...
Honnesty with himself; I Love the talk he had with Jamie after the boy has broken Bens gun.. Ben recognyze he is not perfect, he is just human.. He can do mistake, he can be tired, so just talk louder and nobody will stay deaf on the Ponderosa... Just ask, just try and you'll receive help, understanding and love...
