Dealing with Daggert

Poor Ben, listening to Ike Daggert spout off about the Indians - complaining about having them as neighbors, calling them savages, blood-thirsty animals, heathens, thieves, etc. Ben must have wanted to do as Adam did and tell Ike to shut up! Instead he quietly asked Ike to give Matsou & Itoya a chance, even patting Ike on the back as he said it. It wasn't until Ike suggested he might be forced to kill M & I that Ben raised his voice. I wanted Ben to let Ike have it. What Ben wanted was peace on his land between the Bannock and the bigot.
