Okay. I know I'm a little slow sometimes, but I can't really figure out this site. When I go to FAQ with any questions, a lot of the answers are "Contact the Moderator". How do I do this???? I can't find anything that allows me to contact a Moderator.

For example, I'm trying to post a video that I made in the Video section. The video is on YouTube, but when I type in either the URL or the Embedding and surround it by the "youtube" HTML by clicking "youtube" at the top, it doesn't seem to embed the video. When I hit PREVIEW, all it shows is the unclickable HTML. What am I doing wrong, and how do I ask a Moderator. I would like to share my video.

I'm enjoying the site, by the way and have met some very nice people!

We have a forum on this site called "Technical Assistance". If you can't find your answer there you can post your question there and it will be answered.

Feel free to PM me, January, or A Ponderosa Pine, we are the 2 Admins on the board. We have forum moderators who can probably help you as well. You will notice that all the forum mods are in "green" and that should make it easy to spot them.

I just checked the Techincal Assistance Forum and although we do show how to upload a video to "You Tube", we don't show how to post it from You Tube to here, so I'll get that done soon.

In the meanwhile, here's how to do it.

Go into the video on YouTube and copy the URL from your browser. Start a new topic and paste it in the topic box. Once pasted, remove all the letters from up to =. The equals sign should be removed and everything after the equals (=) sign stays. Then surrround that with the "youtube" tags (above the text box) and you should be all set. You can't just click the youtube tags, you first have to highlight the URL and then click the tags, but it will only work if you have already manually removed all the letters before equals (including equals).

if you can't get it posted, then just put the entire URL in the message box (without the youtube tags) and I'll see it and change it up for you.

Don't hesitate to ask any quesitons you like in the technical assistance forum.

By the way - Under the "who's on line" box, it states Admins , Global Moderators, Forum Moderators & Registered users. By clicking on those, it will bring up a list in that group and you will see a PM box. That's another way of contacting anybody.

Above that box, there's "The Team". By clicking on "The Team", it will bring up all mods & Admins, and that's a way of seeing everybody at once. Also, PM boxes are there for you too.

January, thanks for your very comprehensive reply. I followed your instructions and got the video posted (I certainly would never have figured that out on my own!). My video is now happily posted in the "BoomersTube" video section:
