Certain animals have become associated with the All Hallo's Eve
The Black cat-bad luck and illness will be fall you if it crosses your path. Also known as the Witches minion. If they jump up on you while you are sleeping ,they would steal your soul.This is where the myth that cat steal your breathe originated, especially around children, never let a cat around a baby's crib.The more innocent the soul,the better.
The Bat,The Frog and The Salamandra salamandra-The Fire salamander, was believed to have evolved from the fires of Hades. These creatures normally live in damp logs,so thus when the logs were placed on the fire ,they scuttled out. Ah ha no wonder how that myth got started.
They were also tasty morsels for witches brew, depending on the amount use - they can encourage very hot fiery passion in the unfortunate body that caught their eye. It is not a love potion. These poor unfortunate souls die after a night or two.
