One of my all time favorite Joe episodes!
First time I saw this episode, I was sure it really happened. I recently saw it again and I'm sure it was a dream due to Joe's delirium.
The clues:
He never really was recovered when found by his family. They were the ones giving him water as Joe was laying down by the rocks, so he wasn't nursed back to life by the fake townsfolk.
The sheriffs badge Joe tossed in the dirt was old and rusty, nothing like the new shiny one that was supposedly given to him during his dream.
One thing I don't understand is how Joe tracked down the thief who knocked him out and stole his horse when the horse thief had a horse and Joe was on foot? Did I miss something? Do I have to watch it again?
