Dressing up

Hoss wears a suit in Mag Adah, Bride for Buford, Return Engagement and Stagedoor Johnnies Ok I think he can look pretty good dressed in a suit. What I think is going on is when Hoss does get dressed it provides fodder for a joke. Eg in Bride for Buford LJ sez H looks like a casino. In Maestro H Ben complaines to Joe that he shouldn't have let H borrow his jacket 'cuz he looks like he's going to bust out of it. Ok fine... It has something to do with H's character. Somebody somewhere decided to not take H as seriously as the other Cartwrights. Why does H have that buffalo check nightshirt? Why is his hair sometimes a mess and why is there makeup stains on his collar? Hmmm? Inquiring minds want to know
