Emily redefines unlikable for me in this episode. I find her very difficult to watch, and she was nothing but toxic for Joe. (He could really pick 'em anyway.) :grin

But - I think he was ultimately lucky she was married to someone else in this case. Ben also had her number. :thumbup

Emily was a crazy lady and her husband was scary. She sure did like Joe and I can't blame her for that.

Beth Brickell played Emily. She was also "Dilsey" in season 12's "A Single Pilgrim", playing a very different (sweet and naive) character. Even knowing it's the same actress it's hard to recognize her, so I give her credit for being a good actress!
