I finally got to watch this episode - it was pretty disturbing. The teacher had some - shall we say "anger management issues" and hit his wife and Jamie during the course of the episode. I think Mitch Vogel did a great job in this episode.

There is a quick "Abigail Jones" sighting - Eileen Ryan, who played Abigail, has a small blink-and-you-will-miss-it role as the mother of a student. I was a little surprised to see her in such a small role. She looked a lot younger than Abigail, don't you think?

This was an interesting episode. I'm glad they didn't take the "first Love" story line to fair. This relationship really seemed quite innocent from both Jamie and the teachers wife, both seemingly needing from each other for different reasons and not really seeing where it was going until the husband pointed it out. Ben once again delivered an inspiring speech which then equally Jamie delivers just as good a speech to the Teacher who has just beaten up his wife. Mitch Vogel once again shows why he was picked to be on Bonanza, showing he has just as big acting chops as the rest of the cast.

It took me a while to warm up to Jamie but he really was a good actor. There were several 'Jamie' episodes that were really good. :grin
