This was such an emotional episode, poor Jamie just wants a family. little does he know Ben has already started enquires into adopting Jamie months before Jamie understands what he truly wants which is to become a Cartwright. I recommend watching this episode just purely for Mitch's acting delivery of some really hard scenes.

At one of the Bonanza conventions, this was one of the episodes we watched on a movie screen, along with Mitch Vogel and his stunt guy Rick Drown (the "stunt runt"). After the scene where Jamie and his grandfather go flying off the wagon, somebody hollered at Mitch "Oh my god, are you all right?" :laughing
