I always liked Míriam Colón's character in "To Stop A War"; she seemed to be resigned to her life as what I will charitably call a "paid female companion" ... not a typical Bonanza female character.

She was on Gunsmoke today, so I thought I would see if she was still alive. Sadly, she died in 2017 at the age of 80.

I also found that she received the National Medal of Arts in 2014. From their site:
The National Medal of Arts is the highest award given to artists and arts patrons by the United States government. The National Medal of Arts is awarded by the President of the United States to individuals or groups who "...are deserving of special recognition by reason of their outstanding contributions to the excellence, growth, support and availability of the arts in the United States."

I haven't seen this episode for a long time. What I remember most about it was that Anita was in a relationship with Steve but cheated on him. When he left her she was crying and wanting him to come back. This happens all of the time in real life, too. She lost the man she loved. :sob
