Was something missing in the piece in the jail? Who shot Steve and who shot the foreman?

Joe and Candy are both great in this episode, and we have a great "injured Joe" moment. I would never have recognized the evil Calvin Butler as Grandpa from "The Waltons"! I think the title of the episode is confusing, though. "The Running Man?" Who's running? Jess Parker with his injured leg?

I love Will Greer. He plated in several Bonanza episodes , as did Ellen Corby [ Grandma Walton] His character had taken over the town, which was why it was called Butlerville. The Cartwrights started as his friends but were against the way Butler had people killed if they didn't agree with him. Joe was shot but then Steed Butler was killed by Joe.
