This week we will have a look at one of the underrated episodes when it comes to Adam. Well, Hoss gals will protest, because it starts as a wonderful Hoss episode, but about two thirds into it, it changes to an Adam episode.
Yes, you're right: The Jury!
There are some amazing close-ups of Adam where you can literally hear him thinking or read from his gestures.
Hoss is the member of a jury who has to discuss whether Jamie Wrenn is guilty of murder and robbery or not. Everyone thinks Jamie is guilty, only Hoss has some doubts. When he is accused of bribery in order to not agree with the other jury members, he asks Adam (who just came home from Carson City in the middle of the episode) to help him, because he isn't allowed to talk about the case and to check testimonies outside the jury room.
"Would you care to give us your opinion about the case, Pa?"
A rather skeptical Adam is trying his luck with this question, but Pa points out that he can't talk in front of a member of the jury.
