I have watched this episode recently, and I would like to hear (rather read :grin) your thoughts about this:

I am wondering why the Sherrif's wife tried to warn Joe on several occasions?

She was the one to curse the townspeople I think, so is she afraid that (if Joe manages to make them fight) her curse will be broken and the people freed? Or does she really care about him, and wants him out of harms way for some reason?

Could ghosts (and their guns/ bullets) harm him at all; they could nurse him back to health though, so the food and water must have been real?

What I love about this episode, one can't tell if what happens is real; after all it could all be a dream in Joe's delirium.
Or not...

What do you think?

Joe does delirium very well! I don't know why the former Sherriff's wife was warning him. Maybe after she cursed the town she had second thoughts. I love the ending when pa and his brothers come to Joe's rescue and of course Joe's thoughts go right to the girl!

Another mystery: In the last scene Little Joe takes the Sheriff´s star out of his pocket and throws it into the dust, does´nt he? So where does it come from …
Nice creepy story. :grin

From the first time it aired, this has been an all time favorite of mine. Perhaps it is because I enjoy the Twilight Zone series or perhaps it is because ML pulls this off so well. Was it all in his mind? Could be.

MY thoughts on this - Joe wandered into town, delirious; he found the badge - in the dirt, probably; he remembered the old story in the back of his mind; he in his delirium, he dreamed the rest of it.

I know, I'm a spoil sport...

Twilight Town is a classic Little Joe episode, IMO. It has all the elements in it that we love about Joe......delirious, suffering Joe, sweaty, shirt-clinging Joe, bedridden Joe, romantic (kissing the girl) Joe, macho Joe, and, of course, "Pa comforting Joe", Joe. :thumbup

I disagree completely! It happened! :laughing

If he was dreaming it, then where'd all those great slideshow pictures above come from? His imagination? :no

Joe does the "delirium" thing again in season 13. I think he got better as time went by.
