Hey! I just thought of something. Since there was no death scene for Marie, does that mean she's still running around somewhere in the hills, and just faked it to get out of her marriage? :rotfl

:lol If so, there are probably a lot more Bonanza characters doing the same thing. Think of all the characters that don't get death scenes!

Hey! You're right, Cowgirl. I never thought of that before. Especially the people from the episode Land Grab. Have you seen that one yet? I know it's in Season 3. Why, between the two of us, we'd have houses scattered all over the place for Ben's-- er-- guests. :rotfl By the time we're through, Ben wouldn't have a single tree left on the place! What would he do for railroad contracts, or worse... would he have to change the ranch's name? :laughing

I haven't seen that one yet, but when I do I know I'll be imagining the Ponderosa covered with houses! :lol

Very smart of her to put up a grave marker before she left. Ben didn't remember burying her but she must be dead because of the marker. :RIP

Ah, but you're forgetting something. Ben also thought that his nephew Will was dead because of grave marker. But he turned up alive, didn't he? :laughing

Ben thought Will was dead because he received a telegram saying that from a sheriff.

Well, how do we know that Marie didn't write Ben a "Dear John" letter, only he didn't find it right away?

Why would she? She loved Ben, and wouldn't have any reason to do so. It seems pretty simple and logical that she just died falling from a horse. Now, a fanfic about her maybe still being alive, and having been pregnant before she disappeared might be neat to read. But as far as the world of Bonanza goes, she's dead and gone. :RIP
