Episode 31 - DARK STAR

I literally hate this episode and I rarely say that about my favorite show but this one is just awful. The gypsy people are big stereotypes and Tirza is a weirdo.

I wonder if the writers wanted to do a show about gypsies and got stuck for a good story. This one stinks.
I do love Ben in this, however, if you can shake his telling Joseph that Tirza is a lovely girl. She's a flake!
The scene where Ben and the boys are sitting at the table eating some sort of pumpkin pudding dessert, I marveled at LG's scooping his pudding away from him. That is proper etiquette. Why? I don't know. My Aunt Florence had two boys. She wanted a girl sooooo bad. I became her guinea pig. She made me clothes, taught me how to cook, and taught me how to set a proper table. I know all about shrimp spoons, salad forks, you name it. It doesn't come in handy these days as I haven't had a dinner party in ages. But it's fun to watch the Cartwrights with their etiquette.

This was at a time when Joe wanted to marry every girl who came to the Ponderosa. He must have been desperate. Tirza is the one who would be least likely to be a Cartwright! I can't see Tirza being married to anyone!
