There were 4 or five different Virginia City doctors on Bonanza over the years. "Bit part" actors floated from show to show.

Dr. Spaulding, played by John Bryant is the best known of the seven

actors who portrayed doctors for the town of

Shiloh in "The Virginian."

Well, as confusing as it is, some doctor characters did have the same name when played by different actors. There were multiple Doctor Martins on Bonanza, as well. Strange, isn't it?

Another series I have never watched or even heard of. On this side of the Atlantic we obviously only got to see a tiny part of all the different western shows that ran on American TV.
