Nichols, Hondo and ...Shenandoah

If you like the westerns we’re currently discussing, you may have liked other western TV shows. So why don’t we discuss them here! Post about western conventions (non Bonanza), the shows, the actors and anything you want to discuss.

Nichols, Hondo and ...Shenandoah

If you receive getTV, (I fortunately do!) it is starting a Saturday block of western TV shows that were short-lived. One is 1971's pre-Rockford Nichols with James Garner set in the 1900's; he rode a motorcycle, if that helps anyone remember. They are also going to be showing Hondo starring Ralph Taeger and A Man Called Shenandoah starring Robert Horton. I believe the lineup may start this coming Saturday.

No more cable here. I can only see what's on Netflix and Hulu.

James Garner once went on record stating that his favourite role was Nichols and that he (warning: spoiler alert here) had the character killed off rather than let the show face cancellation.

GetTV is a digital station. If anyone only has digital channel reception, it may be available.

GetTV isn't here right now. I have something called H&I instead. (Wild Wild West!)
